Burger Stand

Burger Stand

Join us for a casual kickoff to the wedding weekend at one of our favorite Lawrence spots! We'll be gathering in the basement of The Burger Stand after our rehearsal dinner for drinks and good company. This is a come-as-you-are kind of evening, so think dressy casual (sundresses, polos, jeans, chinos, that sort of thing). Drinks will be available for purchase from the bar. Whether you just got into town or have been here all day exploring, we'd love to see you there!

Where to Stay

Where to Stay

Our wedding party will be staying at The Oread Hotel, perched on the hill overlooking KU's campus, and you're more than welcome to book there as well! While we weren't able to secure a formal hotel block, Lawrence has plenty of great options to choose from. The Oread is right on campus with stunning views and a short drive to all wedding venues. The Eldridge Hotel is a beautifully restored historic hotel in the heart of downtown on Mass St. For a comfortable, affordable option, TownePlace Suites by Marriott offers suite-style rooms just off the highway.

We recommend booking early, as Lawrence is a vibrant college town and rooms can fill up quickly, especially around late May. No matter where you choose to stay, you'll be close to all the weekend's festivities! If you're looking to keep the celebration going after the reception, we'll likely be heading to Mass St.to close out the night, so staying downtown could be a great option.
